Morten is now showing in cinemas across Estonia, marking an important moment for the Estonian and Lithuanian creative team behind the film.

The Tallinn premiere also brought the film’s music beyond the screen. Estonian artist EiK performed “Pea vastu!”, the song featured in the film’s end credits, while Morten actress Emili Rohumaa gave a beautiful live performance. Her voice became an important part of the musical world I created for the film, making it particularly special to hear her perform that evening.

Composing music for a film is a long process, and it is always fascinating to see the music leave the studio, meet its audience, and begin a life of its own beyond the screen.
