INTERACTIVE MULTIMEDIA STUDIO FOR CHILDREN
It was the first time when Centras4 festival offered interactive multimedia studio between the artists and audience. This year's festival offered the interactive studio for children, who want to overcome their fears. Studio was headed by an artist Aukse Petruliene, psychologist Gintare Aleksiejunaite and composer Titas Petrikis. The goal of the studio is that audience and artist would participate in common work process, and children with the help of the psychologist would overcome or at least limit their fears. Over 10 children participate in the studio, and each of them told their story with the help of multimedia equipment. Such stories last several minutes, and the main emotional environment consisted of improvised music. Before each story, composer asked the children to tell briefly what it was about, so some preparations in the music could take place. Over three hours event was a great time for children, their parents, artists and audience. This interactive art studio is the first step in Centras 4 festival to make closer the audience and artists. Aukse Petruliene, artist, educator at the M.K.Ciurlionis national art museum: |
: "Titas is an imaginative and skilled composer who possesses a wide range of musical styles combined with a real understanding of how music and images come together. His energy and talent are put to good use in any project he undertakes".
