MTV starts anti-smoking campaign

MTV (Music Television) in Lithuania and Vilnius Manucipality starts anti-smoking campaign. ECAD (The Youth in Europe Drug prevention program) conducted a survey in 12 European cities. The results show that among 15-16 year school teenagers active daily smokers are:

Helsinki: 18.9%
Kaunas: 30.5%
Klaipeda: 32%
Oslo: 8%
Reykjevik: 9.9%
Riga: 25.9%
Sofia: 32.6%
St.Peterburg: 25.9%
Vilnius: 33%

Therefore, MTV and Vilnius Manucipality partnership starts a campaign, when people can acquire braclets saying "No Smoking Power" and "MTV most popular hooligan does not smoke'. This braclets can be bought in MAXIMA supermarkets from October 10, 2007. Meanwhile, antismoking video clips will be broadcasted in MTV and Vilnius city advertisment screens.
